Research oriented ?

  •  An MS thesis of a study done at UCT in South Africa compared our teen program to a nutrition intervention program which included information used traditionally in weight management and health promotion programs as set out by ADA.
  • The aims of this study are to determine the extent of body shape and body weight dissatisfaction and past dieting behaviours in a small South African female teenage population and consequently evaluate the effectiveness of the HUGS for teens program in reducing these concerns.
