Research oriented
?
An MS thesis of a study done at UCT in South Africa
compared our teen program to a nutrition intervention program
which included information used traditionally in weight management
and health promotion programs as set out by ADA.
The aims of this study are to determine the extent of body
shape and body weight dissatisfaction and past dieting behaviours
in a small South African female teenage population and consequently
evaluate the effectiveness of the HUGS for teens program in reducing
these concerns.
