Immediately following high school graduation (from Radville Regional High School), I began studies towards my BSc. Nutr degree at the University of Saskatchewan. Five years later (2006), upon completion of my dietetic internship, I was offered a job at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. I cover a
combination of both clinical and outpatient nutrition services. When working in the Patient Education Centre (outpatients), I am part of a team of health professionals who focus on diabetes and heart disease treatment and prevention. When I started this position, I worked full-time, then part-time, and now am casual.

I purchased a fitness centre in my hometown (I was married in Sept/06 and am now settled back in my hometown of Radville, SK!) in November 2006. With this I lead fitness classes (I have completed the first step in this training process and should complete the rest of my certification in the Fall), help clients achieve their lifestyle goals, and do private practice
Nutriton counselling. Most of my clientele is focused on weight management, which is why I think the HUGS program would be ideal for my business.
